BROKEN TOOL SENSOR

• In automatic or unattended machining, it is imperative to detect the broken tool when it took place. If it"s left undetected, a huge loss of cost will be caused from such as scrap parts, machine damage and machine"s downtime. It can be easily installed in the machine at an affordable cost, and detect the breakage of drill, tap and reamer.
• The sensor is bracket-mounted close to the tool easily and conveniently. A needle is arranged in different length and, and can be bent so that the sensor would be installed near by the tool flexibly even though the space around the tool is tight and limited. SCU control unit is installed in the machine control cabinet.
• PCS-100: If the tool is present, a needle will contact the tip and return to the starting position, and the machining goes on. If the tool is broken, a needle will swing past the tool and interpret the condition as a broken tool. In this case, the FAULT signal is transmitted to the machine, and the machining is stopped.
  PCS-250: It monitors the angle input by "teaching" operation, and output OK or FAULT signal.

• Due to the gear-less design, PCS is very strong against the shock and vibration. Strong enough against 3 shift operation for its high durability and rigidity.
